Day 01 :

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Tracking the Gentle Giants

Depart early from Kampala and head north toward Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can track wild rhinos on foot. Led by a knowledgeable ranger, you’ll walk through the bush and observe these majestic animals up close in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon, continue to Murchison Falls National Park and check in at Red Chilli Rest Camp, your base for the next two nights a rustic, budget-friendly camp nestled within nature.

Day 02 :

Day 2: Game Drive & Boat Safari on the Nile

Rise early for a morning game drive across the park’s northern sector. This is your chance to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeests, and more. Your local guide will help you track the wildlife and share stories of conservation and life in the wild.

In the afternoon, hop on a boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. Watch hippos bob in the water, crocodiles bask on the banks, and birds soar above as you cruise along the legendary Nile.

After lunch, head to the town of Pakwach for an afternoon cultural exchange with a local community. You’ll visit a village, interact with elders and youth, learn about local customs, try out the local foods, and enjoy traditional dance and music as the sun sets on the Nile.

Day 04 :

Chimpanzee Tracking & Nature Walk in Budongo Forest

Today is a walk on the wild side, literally. After breakfast, drive to Budongo Forest Reserve, home to over 600 chimpanzees and lush mahogany trees. With the help of expert trackers, you’ll search for chimps as they swing and chatter in the treetops. Along the way, discover birds, butterflies, and medicinal plants during a guided nature walk.

In the evening, return to Heritage Safari Lodge for a well-earned rest and a quiet night beside the Nile.
